Municipal wastewater is made up of a number of sources such as domestic wastewater – household liquid waste from toilets, bathrooms and kitchen activities, liquid wastes from commercial and industrial activities and depending on sewerage system it may also contain storm-water runoff. The wastewater in municipal plants is generally low strength typically between 200 – 800 mg1-1 COD. NVP Energy’s technology is capable of removing up to 80% of this organic material from the wastewater stream.
